Session Fees
Portrait Sessions
A session fee is required at the time of booking to reserve your date. Your session is not officially secured until both payment and a signed contract are received.
You may choose to split your session fee into two payments. The contract must be signed within 72 hours of booking and the remaining balance is due no later than two weeks before your session date. If these requirements are not met, your session may be canceled.
Session fees are accepted via e-transfer. Once your session fee is paid, that date and time are held exclusively for you. For this reason, 40 percent of the session fee is non refundable. If the remaining balance is not received by the due date, the session may be canceled and the non refundable portion will be retained.
Session fees are valid for six months from the date of purchase. Any unused session fee after that time will expire.
Corporate Sessions
Corporate session fees may include volume based pricing. Any volume discount applies only to the booked session and cannot be transferred to another date or project.
Additional Location Costs
If your session requires a rented or private location, rental fees are separate from your session fee. If a reschedule is needed, refunds for location rentals are subject to the venue’s policy and cannot be guaranteed.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please notify me as soon as possible. One reschedule is allowed and must take place within the same booking quarter as your original session.
If a second reschedule is requested, or if you wish to move your session to a different quarter, a rescheduling fee of $200 will apply. Session fees cannot be transferred from one calendar year to another.
Refunds are issued based on the notice given:
- Cancellations made 21 days or more before the session will receive a 60 percent refund
- Cancellations made 14 days before the session will receive a 50 percent refund
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the session will result in a forfeited session fee
Your session may also be canceled if your remaining balance or required planning information is not received by the stated deadlines. These details are essential for proper preparation.
In rare cases, if it becomes clear that I am not the best fit for your project, the session may be canceled. In that situation, you will receive a refund and referrals to photographers who may better suit your needs.
If you or someone in your household is feeling unwell, please reach out as soon as possible. Your session will be rescheduled once everyone is feeling better.
Weather Policy
If poor weather is expected on the day of your session, we will either reschedule to the next available date or arrange a suitable indoor option. Weather plans are discussed once the forecast becomes reliable, usually about a week before your session. Final decisions are made no earlier than two days prior and no later than 24 hours before your session time.
Session Timing
Please arrive on time and fully prepared to begin your session. Your session time starts at the scheduled hour. Time spent getting ready or arriving late will reduce shooting time and cannot be extended.
Proof Galleries
Proof galleries are delivered within 72 hours of your session. These images are lightly edited and intended for viewing and selection only. Screenshots or sharing proof images is not permitted and is a copyright violation.
To ensure timely delivery of your final gallery, image selections should be made within three to five days. Payment plans are available for orders of $600 or more.
Final images are retouched in the order selections are received, not the order sessions are photographed. Delayed selections may result in delayed delivery. If no selections are made after multiple attempts to contact you, final images may be selected on your behalf so the project can be completed.
Retouching
Proof images include basic color and exposure adjustments. Once final selections are received, each chosen image is fully retouched. This includes refined color correction, lighting adjustments, skin smoothing, and removal of small distractions.
Image use and credit
Your images are licensed for personal or professional use based on the session type booked. Commercial use, including advertising, merchandise, book covers, or direct profit use, requires a separate licensing agreement. Licensing fees vary depending on usage.
Unless otherwise noted in your contract, you grant permission for your images to be used in my portfolio and marketing. Requests to keep images private are always respected when noted in advance.
When sharing your images, please credit my business name. On social media, credit is appreciated by tagging my account.
